Breaking News: TSH Establishes Tagore Scholar grant at University of Houston
The Executive Committee of TSH proudly announces that it has concluded an in-principle agreement to establish a yearly Tagore Scholar grant at the English Dept of University of Houston. The grant will support scholarship and activities aimed at understanding and spreading the immense contributions of Rabindranath Tagore to literature, art and philosphy, and establishing him as true world icon or 'Vishwa Mahamanab'.
The University sees it as a unique opportunity for offering transformative learning and for enhancing its reputation as a major university. The first Tagore Scholar is expected to be selected by Fall 2010. Watch this space for further details.
